The branch of aromachology is a relatively new branch of science that deals with a form of alternative therapy. It works on the principle that fragrances have a lot of psychological benefits and effects on the human mind and body. Aromachology is a science that was developed by Annette Green, in the late 70s. She was then a member of the Fragrance Foundation.

Aromachology is basically a part of a bigger form of science, called aromatherapy. In aromatherapy, scents are used as a therapeutic medium in a bid to cure certain ailments, especially stress related ailments.
